I have just started reading The Tail of Emily Windsnap by Liz Kessler. This story is about a girl who has never been swimming or totally underwater, even in a bathtub, in her whole life! Finally, she begs her mom to let her take swimming lessons and when she gets in the pool her legs feel really weird and she can't control them...because she has changed into a mermaid! Right now, she is pretty freaked out and not sure what to do about. She is scared to tell her mom so she is trying to keep it a secret from her. It doesn't seem like she really has friends so I wish she would tell her mom. I hate keeping secrets unless they are fun secrets. I can't wait to see what happens!
Meg Cabot is one of my favorite authors. She wrote the Princess Diaries series (made into Disney movies) and other fun books. I have to admit, these are totally girly books, but they are fun! This is the second book in the All-American Girl series. In the first book, All-American Girl, the main character accidentally saves the president from being shot and becomes famous because of it. She also ends up falling in love with and dating the president's son. How cool is that? In this book, so far, she is trying to decide if she is going to go to Camp David, the private hangout for the president (for real), with her boyfriend and the President for Thanksgiving. Who wouldn't want to go to Camp David? I hope she choses to go!

I love the books you have read.I have a book named 'The Doll in the Garden'.Its about a girl that she had a doll and was very speasial to her.But one day the girl gath really sick and she put the doll in a box to bery her.and the next day the girl who beryd the doll died.But some years past and another girl came to live wear the girl lived and they stayd ther for some days and she started to hear things like criying and she looks out the window and nothing was ther.But she keeps seing a white cat in the yard evry day and some days pass and she finds the doll but she wonders who is the owner of that doll.....so thats what im reading and allso youre books are really good too.....andrea

jose said that I had a book is about a griele brouthe a dog where they were 9 cats so two of them ran away so melisa had to find the 2 cats thatn they lost away so she had to find the two cats with hes brother jeery they went too the pet store becuase does cats like to eat alot . so one time they really liked the pet store. but no one of them they were in awoeman bag so they talk to the ladie the cat eascape becuase he know them when the cat went with the other cat they found them one of them HAVE babys so they take them to moly she was sorprise that she hug them they were surpries.
have u read the book stink the title is stik and the stinkiest snikers ever or someting like that it waz about a boy that had the nose of a dog he could smell anyting with his ejes closed and he will tell u wat it iz ones they went to a musiam and they anounsed that there will be a contest of smelly snikers and it goes on and on ..........

You all wrote about some really cool books! I love "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". I have read both books and I think there is another one coming.
I like how Maria, Andrea, Rocio, and Jose wrote a lot about the book they are reading. It helps me understand what the book is really about.
I have never read the Stink books, Goosebumps, Animorphs, or Junie B. Jones.
I have read the Babysitter's club books...they were my absolute favorite series when I was growing up. My friends and I even started our own babysitter's club!
