The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

Most Recently Read Book:

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

By Sherman Alexie

This book is a semi-autobiographical story about a boy growing up on an Indian reservation
in Washington state. Semi-autobiographical means it is part true story from his life and part
fictional. Indian reservations are communities that were set up for Native-Americans when
their land was taken over. It's a sad situation still today in some of these reservations. I
really liked this book because it was so truthful and written in such a great way. It's a funny
story because it's about a 14-year-old and it sounds like a 14-year-old talking. I would
recommend this book for students who are at least in high school because of some more
mature content...but I definitely recommend it!
