Poplar Creek Library

The Poplar Creek Library is for anyone who lives in Hanover Park or Streamwood.  I really like their blog, where they post books and book summaries.  It's always nice to read about a book and hear what someone else has to say about it before you read it for yourself.  

Have you ever had someone tell you about a book and then you just could not wait to read it?  I just heard about the booked Canned, by Alex Shearer.  It's about a boy who collects cans that he finds in stores that don't have labels on them any more.  One day he opens one of the cans to find...a human finger inside!  Then, he finds a can with a note that says, "Help!" inside!  The boy goes off with his friend to see if they can help this mysterious person.  Doesn't that sound exciting?  This book is on my list of books to read.  You can go to www.barnesandnoble.com and type in the title to see more about this book if it sounds interesting to you.  Then, go to the Poplar Creek Library website and see if they have it on the shelf!  You could be reading it!
