One of my favorite series of the year are the Choose Your Own Adventure Books by R.A. Montgomery. I remember reading some of these books when I was in middle school but they have been updated and re-released with new covers, some different endings, and a website that has an alternate ending even. I have been reading the CYOA books, as I call them, with one of my middle schoolers this year and he really seems to like them. They can be short stories or they can be long it just depends on what you choose.
Basically, you read a page or two about what is happening and then the book lets you make a decision, if you choose the first choice, then you skip to a certain page. If you choose the second choice, then you skip to a different page. This goes on throughout the book until you reach an ending. The cool thing is YOU are in charge...and when you get to the end you can start over again and it will be a totally different story.
I was looking online at www.barnesandnoble.com (one of my favorite bookstores) and they showed me that there is another CYOA series out more for girls. The series is called the Date Him or Dump Him? series. Girls can make decisisions about boys but also about other adventures going on in the book. This is a fairly new series and there are only three books out so far but they look like fun!Have you read a CYOA book? The word dilemma means a problem. The character in the book must have some kind of dilemma or problem with the dance. Maybe she can't pick which boy to go to the dance with!!! Sounds like fun!
I don't think id like that but it does sound intresting but i want to read the abominable snowman.
