It's winter break! I know the students are super excited about being off for break. I'm excited to spend time with my family but also to have lots of time for reading and writing this break.
I checked out two bags of picture books from the library to get ready to discuss Martin Luther King Jr. and the book award named for his wife, Coretta Scott King.
I'll be excited to come back from break and hear about all the reading my Team Read students have done!

Diary of a Cat is an awesome read. This book is written from the perspective of a cat. Some parts of the story are sad, hysterical, thoughtful, so have a hanky ready!
This book, The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, is a terrific book for teens. This is the first installment of three books. The genre of this book is considered dystopian. (For all of you who don't know that, grab a dictionary and see what you can find out!) Great Reads Posted Here!!!
I haven't read Diary of a Cat...is that by the same author of Diary of a Worm?
You reminded me of Binky the Space Cat. It's a series of graphic novels about a cat who thinks he's a Space Cat. It's hysterical. The story is so funny!
