Flat Stanley

If you don't know who Flat Stanley is, I definitely suggest you check him out!  Stanley is the main character in many books all about his adventures after he is flattened by a bulletin board in his bedroom.  He wakes up one morning to find that he is now flat and the books tell all about his adventures as a boy who is flat.

In the chapter book, Stanley's parents fold him up into an envelope and send him off to California to visit a friend.  Now, children all over the world create their own Flat Stanleys and mail them to friends and family.  These family and friends take pictures of the Flat Stanley they receive in all sorts of fun places.
Last week two of my students sent their Flat Stanleys through e-mail to online pals.
