What Are You Reading Good? (03/06/2012)

I love seeing more and more great books being read by my students. Some kids are reading more challenging books and finishing books faster. I love it! Go reading!

What Are You Reading Good? (02/24/2012)

I've been reading Extra Yarn with more and more students this week! I love that book. It was also fun to tell kids what I learned about Amelia Earhart from Amelia Lost by Candace Fleming. Non-fiction is fun!

What Are You Reading Good? (02/16/2012)

I read a great book this week called The One and Only Ivan. It starts off as a sad and lonely story but by the end it is a happy story. I think it will be great for a range of readers from 4th grade through middle school.

I have also shared Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett with illustrations by Jon Klassen with many students this week. I love this book! The artwork is amazing and the story has a great message.

What Are You Reading Good? (02/03/2012)

I had a great reading week and I think the students did, too! I read two graphic novels this week that were great: Anya's Ghost and Sidekicks.

What Are You Reading Good? (01/20/2012)

We have had an exciting start to 2012! I love that kids are reading and getting really excited about books. There are going to be some great new books in 2012 that I am looking forward to reading. I set my goals for 2012 and shared them with students and then the students wrote their own goals for 2012! I can't wait to see how we do!
